How do I suspend a certain process when display is turned off/on?
There is a certain process that goes nuts when the computer thinks that
I'm away (5 minutes of no user input and the screen goes dark) and the
only known way to prevent it from causing trouble (apart from not going
away) is either killing the process or suspending it. I still like what
the process does.
Is there a way to automatically suspend a process when Windows turns off
the display and re-enable it when it turns on?
Note: the process in question doesn't function properly while the OS is in
"away" mode, so here I'm trying to work around this little problem.
UPD: Please don't try to find a problem with the application, for there is
a problem for sure. 100% bad software. Still, I'd like to actually find a
way to put that application in suspended mode during the "away".
UPD2: I already tried scheduling tasks to run upon system power events 1
and 42, but they don't seem to be the codes for "turn off display" and
"turn on display". Moreover, I can't find any logs of such events.
